Current News of New Hope Ministries
The past 18 months have been devasting for the nation of Haiti.
Government upheaval with terrible hurricanes have left this poorest
nation in the Western Hemisphere in greater suffering than the past.
In one of the last hurricanes a major bridge that connects the area
of our mission to Port au Prince was washed out and it became
very difficult to get the food and other supplies for the feeding
program.
The increased cost of the food and supplies along with a slow down
in donations has caused a great financial need. If there is anything

A couple of months ago I was in a conference at New Beginnings in San
Diego. Jane and I had been there in February of '04 when the church
was just four months old. Pastor Chuck Garner had asked us to come
and teach evangelism.
At the conference one of the outreach leaders introduced me to Jim and
Marsha Flood. He asked if I remembered them and I didn't. Carlos
reminded me that the first contact was made with them when we were
training the outreach team in Relationship Evangelism. By employing the
principles and methods of farming and building relationships, as
explained in the book, this new church has reached over 300 on special
days and regularly has around 200 in service.

Paul and Jane Update
God seems to be moving us into new and exciting aspects
of his purpose for our lives. Up until now our traveling has
been greatly restricted, but it seems that God is again
reopening that door. My heart condition seems to be
improving and we are becoming more active. We appreciate
the prayers and support so many of you have offered over
the past year.
The work in Haiti continues. Even with all of the challenges
of the past year and a half the feeding continues. But that is
not all. Missionary Bob Jones, the director of the mission that
hosts the feeding program, reports that he is able to build a
children's home and the phase one pavilion has been completed
for having worship services and a place for the children to eat.
Thank God for his continued favor on the work there.
The past few months have presented a financial challenge for the
ministry there. Prices of everything keep going up and at the same
time some of our support has fallen off. Would you please pray
about supporting the Hope For Haiti Now feeding program?

have moved the office to our home in Springfield, Mo.
